Small update, after the recent PNW cyclone bomb, more than two days without power and my PB with my custom cable (without ground) and a standard interlocked switch, powered my entire house (2 fridges, furnace and whatever) for 48 hours continuously and a total of about 15 gallons.
The whole sub...
No follow up, as much as I hate to say these contractors don't have enough technical knowledge when you take them out of their day-by-day projects. The solution proposed by them was to effectively double my panel and circuit breakers (ish, effectively for me to pick a smaller amount of things I...
I just did a quick search and indeed they can be completely different issues.
I haven't got time to read all the posts, but as an engineer, this problem seems nasty. I don't want to speculate what's the worst that could have happened, but next week, we had scheduled a 5k miles travel with a...
My 2022 Powerboost with the same issue, started to hear this funny noise on rear passenger wheel when going under 10mph and today I took the car for a regular oil change, they showed me the broken bolt. They kept the car and I'm waiting for a call from the dealer tomorrow. After all my issues...
I was able to test today the 'hack' with a new 2ft cable made by me and not connecting the ground wire, everything works ok.
However, the electric company called me and they told me that they are ordering the whole house transfer switch 6382, hopefully they can figure out what to be done with...
I think in my case they said that the auxiliary battery wasn't properly charged and they did some 'reformatting', slow charging for 8-12 hours or so (can't remember) plus reprogramming the APIM.
At least the solutions seem to be consistent, never happened to me since then, about two months now.
Hi everyone, I read everything here and it seems the official way to go is with a transfer switch. Looking on Generac website I found this Whole House Transfer Switch 6382 that should work together with a Switched Neutral Kit 6297.

Yeah, quality control seems something that Ford and its dealers are slowing forgetting about, especially at trims levels where they pretend exactly that, extra quality for the extra buck. I don't want to start here, but there are many little things that bother me about this new truck: lots of...
Thanks for the tip with Tire Rack, it makes sense now. I don't think it's a big issue overall, I have to figure out if replacing the liner will help or just trimming it a bit.
Hi everyone,
I've replaced my Platinum factory tires (Hankook) with the same size, 275/60/20 BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A. They look very well, no extra noise, similar millage but the weird thing is rubbing when taking max turns. There is this flimsy protection on the upper inside part that is...
Yes, it's a 2022 with 5.5 and my truck sat in the shop for 2 weeks and waiting on various things to be looked at (B&O issues, some sealing/doors wind noise, etc), pretty unhappy overall with how the dealer service did (not) managed this. Will still need to return and talk to them.
This one was fixed for me, this was the action they took:
"Removed and replaced heat exchange coolant spigots, pressure filled coolant to max spec and ran vehicle at operating temp, performed coolant pressure test and verified coolant leak no longer present"
