I have a very similar issue, I have adjusted the hood stops up until they are visibly pushing the hood up from the body lines. When I press in the middle of the hood near the latch I can still make a slight "rattle" sound, maybe I have excess play in the latch? My post about this issue is below...
Thanks for the replies y’all. Just finished up doing a cam phaser job on a friends 3.5. While it’s not the same engine, I understand more of the complexity going on inside these engines now.
I also did some more research on the 5.0, and I see that many people report these are just noisy...
2022 F-150 5.0
Two videos attached. I am getting a rattling sound from behind the dash on acceleration, typically between 3-4k RPM. It will just keep rattling if I leave the RPM in that range.
Doesn’t sound like a heat shield, but I have checked all of the obvious ones and haven’t found any...
Hey! I wish I had a good solution for you. What ultimately ended up fixing the issue was just a scan with Forscan, and a reset of all the modules I could access.
I downloaded Forscan, scanned the full system, and cleared all codes. Then I performed every reset available on the programming page...
Truck had a 2.5” level on it when I purchased it. I put the raptor takeoffs with 315/70R17s on. Since then, I’ve noticed a pretty bad negative camber on the front.
Alignment shop told me that the camber adjustment was already at the max and I’d need to buy a camber kit to get it adjusted...
Wait you literally made a post yesterday, " My brand new f150, 5.0 has a very annoying loud whining noise that goes up and down with RPM. Does anyone else hace this problem and how do you get rid of it " and since then you have just been commenting on everyone else's posts regarding transmission...
It really did for the first week or so, now I don't even hear it anymore, unless I creep through a parking lot slowly or a garage with the windows down.
Really concerned me until I saw the amount of people complaining about it, and after my buddy took his 2025 back at 100 miles to complain...
Ahh, there's my mistake. I didn't actually look it up like I said - not my reply.
Yes it sounds like XL and XLT still have electronic IWE, good to know!
Not my post, and not an expert, but I believe this is true and the front driveshaft and axles are always turning while moving, just not under power until the tcase is engaged.
Only applies to Lariat + with the 4A tcase, XL & XLT apparently still have electronic IWE.
It would make sense ... the...
Also have a 22 5.0, sounds identical to mine. I'll take a video later to post. I was very concerned about this too because this is my first 10 speed from Ford. However, there are so many threads about this and explanations due to the straight cut gears in the fluid pump.
Unfortunately it is...
The magnet was merely a dusting, actually much less than what you see here on the filter. I wasn’t too concerned with that. No chunks or big pieces, everything just wiped away with a shop rag.
I bought the truck knowing it had some shifting issues, and that it could be normal quirks, or damage...
