If towing or very recently did some WOT runs (especially tuned) I would say yes. I live a mile in off a main road so I'm basically idling through the neighborhood and just shut it off when I get home as that is enough turbo cool down.
The 3.5 breaths great up top, I went from a 5.0 to a 3.5 and noticed no drop in highway passing power, just more bottom end and midrange.
To say the 5.0 is a real 400hp and the 3.5 is 385-390 is just bias coming through. Outside the 2026, they're both 400.
Are you on 18s or 20s? The sidewall would be extra plain on 18s
I started with 275/60r20 Continental Terrain Contact HT, but even after replacing one they just weren't super smooth. Some days I just had a vibration on the highway. Discount is amazing and swapped them for Michelin Defender ms2...
Very little, it's more about the tire quality. I went from oem Goodyear 275/65r18 to Michelin 275/60r20 and the only difference is the Michelins are smoother on the highway and get better dry and wet traction (haven't driven them in the winter yet). Don't forget you are also going from a 32 to...
There was an ota a year ago that wiped tunes but hopefully that doesn't happen again. I'm finally past my 3/36 and even though I have an extended Ford warranty I'll be going FP or Livernois in the spring.
Officially your warranty is over after 3/36, powertrain wise. That's regardless of if you have an extended one through Ford. My dealer said they won't treat the FP tube as a mod and not to worry about it at all though. That may only be if I buy through them.
The hanging on to gears is why I don't use sport mode almost ever.
My dealer told me $950 installed and will honor Ford's extended warranty or the 5y / 60k powertrain with this tune. I know it's not official past 3/36. $950 is hard to swallow when you can buy it for a more reasonable $600ish...
