Yep. Still waiting on the wheel well guards. As of last Friday, my parts guy said they were on back-order with an ETA of around 16 Oct. Like everything else OEM related, I'm not hopeful of meeting that date, but in the grand scheme of things, it's minor compared to the hassle that was actually...
Just thought I would resurrect this old post as I was playing around with the BLIS settings earlier hoping it would give me an option for some kind of audible alert or chime when using the turn signals to change lanes (if there is a vehicle in the adjacent lane). So far it still doesn't appear...
Looking forward to seeing this myself. Even though I just picked up my '21, the black appearance package might give me some ideas for future visual modifications.
To further illustrate the insanity and frustration with all of this, I went back and checked my original order. Not surprisingly, it's still on chip hold sitting in Dearborn.
I mentioned finding another PB Lariat 501A en route to my local dealership, which was a dealer order submitted to Ford...
Yep, as Dresdie say, my salesman pulled up my original order on the VVR. Confirmed that it was on "chip hold." He or she is going to be the only way to confirm this information for you unless Ford Performance Chat has VVR access.
Sadly, I think the GM you spoke with is blowing smoke. My dealership made it clear I could choose whichever incentives were better - at the time of order or at the time of arrival. Clearly the 0% was a better deal and the sales director was kind enough to make the switch in their system from...
You can take me off this list as I'm going rogue and buying a dealer-ordered truck off the lot. My original order is still in chip-hold and no telling when it will actually ship.
Hey, whether your lucky enough to have an X Plan or like me, and the poors, take whatever discount you can get. ;) Seriously though, the current offer SHOULD be the zero percent financing and the $1000 off MSRP.
Good luck!
I gave it a shot myself and spoke with the director of sales at the dealership and wow, it worked! He was able to approve the offer and apply to my truck. I think because we're in the "Fall chip hold" group, Ford gave them a way to either transfer my previous incentives on my original order...
I may try again tomorrow just for sh*ts and giggles. I mean the worst they could tell me is no (again). :) And good point about State location. That might be a factor, but I'm not sure. ETA for mine is around the same time frame as yours.
This is VERY interesting to me. My salesman was pretty adamant that the truck had to physically be at the dealership and me take possession in order to lock it in. I need to learn your magic since the one I'm purchasing won't likely arrive for another week, maybe two.
As a continuation of this clown-world with Ford, I noticed that our local dealership had two powerboost trucks that were literally built in Dearborn Monday (8/30) and have already switched to built status on the tracker. In fact, after calling my salesman about it, he already has preliminary...
It sure would be nice if Ford would consider it. So many of us are simply waiting for our trucks to ship and therefore can't take advantage of the offer because it expires this weekend. :(
