If you are referring to the plastic frame with space for the buttons to be put in place, that comes as part of the tow mirror package. The full featured tow mirrors I bought had this piece bent when I received it and had to ship back the huge box with the mirrors and this piece since it can't be...

It just worked on mine after the part swap and forscan. I didn't even realize auto dimming was a feature until driving at night. I switched from the manual/BLIS/360 tow mirrors to the power/BLIS/360 tow mirrors (along with the updated door modules).
