  1. Help me figure out my Payload Capacity

My truck is spec'd nearly the same as EricR's. It appears that the 502a package removes 23 lbs. of payload.
  2. At long last

Ordered in March of last year. That truck was built but languished in Kansas City. Chip suggested ordering a '22 which we did in early Oct. We picked it up from Granger on 2/8 and before driving back to western Oregon we made a side trip to Chicago. Six days and 2600 miles later we arrived...
  3. 4A vs 4H

    Under what conditions/terrain would I select 4H if I have 4A available?
  4. Will 18's look too small on my Lariat PB??

I kept the 18" sport wheels. However I wanted the same diameter tire (33") that comes with the 20" wheel. So far I can only find E rated tires in the 275/70-18 size. The weight gain for these tires/rating is way high compared to stock.
  5. Surprise delivery

We received a surprise phone call from Chip at Granger this morning. Our truck has arrived. This truck was ordered on March 4th, built in late May and went in transit from Dearborn to Kansas City where it languished. We took Chip's advise and ordered a '22 after losing hope that it would be...
  6. Waiting until Sep 15 to place an order for 2022

I ordered a Lariat hybrid on 3/4/21 and cancelled that order this week. Ford's tracking site has been worthless in our case and we have no idea when the truck will be delivered. It was not waiting for any parts. The idea to cancel originated with the dealer. Who knows if there will be any...
  7. Transit time from Detroit to Granger?

Uncle! We threw in the towel today and cancelled our order placed on 3/4. The truck (apparently with no missing modules/chips) was delivered from Dearborn to Kansas City around 6/8 where it sits with no status update. Many of you have received your trucks in a more timely manner and I'm...
  8. Ford is about to ship thousands of F-150s to dealers as it gets new supply of chips

Hey Joe. I can't say for sure when our truck shipped from Dogbone. However, when I last heard from the dealer (6/8) it was apparently in Kansas City. Too bad I can't just go there and pick it up.
  9. Ford is about to ship thousands of F-150s to dealers as it gets new supply of chips

Our Lariat was built in Dearborn on May 9th. It was supposed to be shipped to Granger about 1 month ago. The dealer indicated that it was not waiting for any integrated circuits. Apparently our truck is sitting in Kansas City waiting for an available transport. A shortage of truck drivers is...
  10. Retrofitting Tailgate w/ Step

The gee whiz factor of the power tailgate and pull out step is obvious. I'm trying to get as much payload capacity with the PB 502a Lariat and the ~60 lb. hit of the step seems like a lot. A small step stool will have to suffice for our truck.
  11. Factory Wheels with Aftermarket Tire Thread

The Continental Terrain Contact is at the top of my list as well. I'm also considering the Nokian One HT and the Michelin Agilis. Discount tire provides a weight for each tire. In the 275 width the Nokian is 47 lbs., the Continental is 54 lbs. and the Michelin is 52 lbs. The Michelin has the...
  12. Factory Wheels with Aftermarket Tire Thread

Has anyone tried 275/70-18s on the factory sport 18" wheels? They have a 33" diameter like the factory 20" wheels/tires. I'm not interested in offroading, just want more sidewall.
  13. Unsprung weight and payload

First post. I am near to placing an order for a PB Lariat. With our 20' sailboat and 19' RV we are not going to be pushing the limits on payload/towing capacity. However, I am interested in achieving a comfortable capacity margin in order to provide future options as well as a buffer for...
