It would be interesting to know how widespread this issue is. No recall showing for mine either at this point. I feel it would be odd if it were just a few trucks here and there and it’s probably more likely to be a large percentage of the fleet equipped like those of us talking about it here...
1. You likely are running a version of FORScan 2.3 and need 2.4 to do the firmware updates.
2. I’ll double check the next time I’m out at night but I’m pretty sure if the light switch is turned on (all the way clockwise) and not in AUTO my dynamic bending and leveling is disabled but don’t quote...
Talking with @antho he indicated that some 22 trucks have received an update and sounds like most 21’s got left behind without the update while the 23 trucks have the firmware load (ML34-14D067-BE) which seems to have corrected the leveling issue (at least for my truck and anthos truck which are...
Ah ok that’s right I remember you saying that now earlier. One thing I did to prove they were adjusting but in the wrong direction was tested (using a jack but you could use a trailer just the same) measure the fender lip to the ground, and I used 1” increments for testing, then had the truck...
@J17GT this issue is happening on your 2023 truck? I updated my headlight control module (2021 Raptor) with the 2023 HCM firmware/software and that has fixed my leveling issue on my 2021…interesting if it’s happening on your 2023 truck. Curious to hear what they say at service. One thing I have...
Yeah that’s exactly what mine does. Just finished checking the wires at the height sensors to make sure something isn’t pinned backwards but they match the schematic at least at the sensor end. I don’t have time right now to dig any further into the wiring pinouts but I’ll get back to it later...
Did a fair amount if messing around and collecting some data tonight. Without a doubt the leveling feature is “leveling” in the wrong direction. First I measured the unloaded ride height from the ground to the lip on the fender flares front and rear to get a baseline height. The rear sits at...
After looking at the schematics you posted earlier I think what you mentioned here in this post @antho makes sense but I’m not positive. It appears the leveling only uses data from the left side height sensors?
My issue has been since the day I drove it off the lot, so not the change to glare free in my case causing the issue I can confirm that in my case at least. Just recently (a few days ago) enabled glare free... Owned the truck since February 22. Been adjusting headlights based on payload in the...
Yeah I want to do more testing with the front vs rear. In theory when you load the back of the truck the front suspension will raise a certain amount as well which in theory would be corrected for as well as the rear squat for instance and when I had all of the height sensor values shown on...
