Nice MGs!
My dad’s got an MGA, MGB, MGC, just no GT unfortunately. Really cool cars.
maybe if I get some time and money later in life I’ll get a GT and build it similar to a Frontline LE50
First tow with my new 2.7 truck. Did really well, stable cruising at 65-70, didn't feel like I needed any more power, and got about 14mpg which I think is pretty fair. Granted it was fairly short and ran into a bit of stop and go traffic, on a longer highway stint I could probably eek out a...
Another thought, with the 36 gallon tank standard on the 24+ trucks, just wait for a few to start showing up at salvage yards, grab a tank for a couple hundred $ and swap it in if you find yourself needing/wanting the extra capacity.
from what I’ve read it seems to be a pretty straight forward...
Ah nice, ya I’m a dealer for them (found them on a Civic forum of all places, and got setup with them maybe 2 years ago) and they just looked like the best of both worlds, great coverage but also they look more upscale than weathertech and other hard plastic or rubber liners.
Ive sold a bunch...
I used the clips just to keep the edges held down pretty firm against the plastic trim, that way hopefully no dirt and grime works its way underneath them.
Honestly the driver side to get it to sit on the OEM pins was a little difficult, but I just pulled it over and clipped it in and then put...
The rear fit up well for me, it was pretty snug against the little storage partition (I have just the small storage partition not the pop up one) so I pushed it under that, and then just pulled it up slightly around the center console and everything kind of dropped into place.
The fronts went in...
Just got my 24 XLT BAP+
Pretty happy with it so far. Definitely a lot quieter and smoother riding than my old Frontier, and better mpg too which is nice
I also use the Precision Instruments torque wrenches, I’ve actually got a 3/8 and 1/4. They work great and iirc they actually manufacture some of the torque wrenches for snap on.
Yea I would definitely prefer a chain, but it seems that the belt would likely not be an issue for quite sometime.
It would definitely suck for a 2nd or 3rd owner buying at 150k+ miles or someone buying a 10 year old truck where time has a chance to run its course and degrade the belt.
Not that I like the idea of a wet belt, but I’ve been researching a fair bit and can’t find a ton of failures, granted as the trucks get older in age and higher mileage I’m sure it may become more common. That being said if you’re buying new and getting out of the truck before 200k I’d imagine...
Makes sense.. dealers here in FL are an absolute nightmare to deal with in my experience, figures they would try to keep it that way as much as possible.
As for the maintenance work I was more referring to general maintenance.
For example, if I purchased the truck brand new and performed my own...
