60,000 miles on my 2023 Truck (built in December 2022)
5.0 Liter Engine
Transmission Fluid changed?
Yes @ 50,000 miles
Issues Encountered:
Jerky and clunky shifting (especially on downshifts). Dealer said nothing was out of the ordinary. Seems to be smoother after fluid change.
I can try this out for you later today! Assuming in tow/haul mode so no cylinder deactivation. When towing I have zero issues of drone or it being too loud in the cab, but will go run it today, specifically at 2500 rpm and pay more attention more than usual to any noises from the exhaust.
You will not regret it in my opinion. I have had the Borla S-type for almost year now on my 23 5.0 and love it. No drone at all and while I do notice the CD, it is not bad at all. You will forget about it once you step on it :)
Makes sense. Getting on the throttle does prevent it for me too. Sometimes I am two footing it applying throttle right before I left off the brake lol. Thank you for the reply!
I have the same issue, 2023 5.0. Has done it since day one and now have close to 30,000 on it. She hasn't been the smoothest transmission, but this issue has bugged me the most. Took into dealer and said they couldn't replicate which is aggravating considering it does it for me every time when...
This is true, I have the S-type and you can clearly hear when it goes into CD. I still would not go back to stock, this engine sounds too good. Looking to tune once I get closer to being out of warranty
