Thats good news they are planning to stay running all of August. I ordered July 21st and have a schedule-to-week of August 23rd. Fingers crossed it arrives end of September beginning of October.

Thanks for the update. It does seem like platinums are being delayed vs lariat orders. Are all higher trims on hold right now? Or are some still going though every week?

That seems excessive. I have a fully optioned platinum on order since July 5th. They’re already scheduling 9/27 next week, I would think if we don’t get scheduled by the end of October we’ll be getting canceled and told to order a 22.

I’ve wondered about that as well …………need to check with my dealer again the first of the week

Good to see some actual information on the scheduling process. I ordered a KR back in early June and still have not received a VIN, but would honestly rather wait for them to schedule the build for when they know they have the chips in stock versus getting it built and sit on a lot somewhere waiting for the chips to come in... Thanks for the good info!

YoU can't compare one build to the other unfortunately.

Even lariat to lariat can vary based upon what options are chosen. 501a vs 502a, 360 camera, adaptive cruise, sunroof. The more options you choose the more wait you can anticipate. You also should be aware that a chip for one part may not be able to work for another part.

It's quite the ordeal that I hope I don't have to concern myself with again. At least not to this extent in the future.

I have a Platinum EB ordered on March 18th, ship date 7/7, and the first ETA was between 7/27-8/2, just got an update today, it was changed to 8/1 - 8/7. Even though my vehicle is built, transportation issues are challenging. I hope they get this figured out soon.

I got my vin 2 weeks before truck went into production. My truck went in 7/2 and was built on 7/7 and shipped after getting the spray in bed liner. It’s taking about a month + after being shipped to getting my truck. I hope it arrives this week.

ORDER BANK STATUS:

Through a recent Ford update, we've received some good news in regards to Ford's retail ordering on F-150s.

As of 6/28/21 ther are 6,113 Retail orders in the system for the new F-150.

For comparison:
113,553 Broncos
18,416 Super Duty
6,113 F-150
5,919 Mustang Mach E
4,407 Explorer
38,798 Subtotal (Non-Broncos)
152,351 Total

I thought the backlog of retail orders would be much higher. So that is good news that the Retail orders are prioritized over stock. The biggest hold up we've seen is that the average retail order is coming in on the higher trim level (lariat or higher) versus the XL, XLT trucks that require less microchips for production.



PRODUCTION UPDATE:

Just wanted to drop a quick update for those of you who have ordered or are considering ordering a new F-150.

Raptor Update - There is NO Raptor allocation for this month's wholesale. That means no dealers will get more Raptor production unless they have received it already. The final month of 2021 Raptor allocation (there were only 2) will be next month and that will be model year build-out for 2021 (i.e. Last call for 2021).

Delivery Timing - For the F-150 your Delivery time goes as follows
In-transit - Expect it in August
In-System - August/September Delivery
Balance to schedule (doesn't have a VIN yet but in the system) - September/October
If you place a order today, expect to receive the truck in October at the earliest maybe November.

Plant Downtime - Both the Kansas City and Dearborn plants had scheduled down time in July. As of now, we are expecting both plants to be up all of August. At least they have not communicated to us dealers that they will be down.

The higher end trims seem to take longer to schedule. This past week we didn't get any retail orders scheduled only stock orders that were 302A or 101A trims. They have those supplies more readily available and have to work them in.


Yes, it would place you in that category. What is your build date? I'd estimate you'd receive your vehicle 3-4 weeks after that build week.

They didn't note anything on our call. We will have to see how the weeks progress if there's any update on those. They only have 2 months to get all those scheduled and built, so I'm sure it'll be a heavy tremor mix these next 2 months.

No build date yet, all I got was the build week from my dealer. Per Ford reps, and my dealer, there won't be a build date assigned until 2-4 weeks before the scheduled build week.

This is nice to see not to many f150s to b built but I'm starting to think this could b a class action lawsuit for those of us who ordered trucks n had vin numbers before the broncos, raptors, and mavericks were even introduced to the 2021 line ford should have to complete previous orders before introducing new vehicles n building those new vehicles

Same here; hopefully my 8/24 holds this time. For the first time ever, I went forward from 8/30 to 8/24, it may only be a week, but at least it went forward.

I ordered a Hybrid 701A Platinum on 5/1. No VIN yet. If I'm looking at an October build, then I may just go ahead on wait on the Lightning.

I've had a Bronco on order since February with no updates. Ordered a F-150 on 07/07, because I don't want to wait + its a bigger vehicle with more utility, and within a week I have a build week scheduled (hoping it holds).

For those who can help a lost young buck, if I have a VIN and build week does that place me in the 'In-System" category? Thanks in advance!

I ordered an F-150 on 3/10/21. 6 build dates later, still not built. So don't hold your breath.
