Got my truck today My F-150 Ordering Story (04/26 built week)

The article says it can be ordered starting in June. If you did that you'd get a truck that hasn't been sitting out in a parking lot for months, it would be made no earlier than June and probably later. It requires the max tow package but if you've already ordered that there wouldn't be any extra charge for it. So for $650 you'd get a truck that's newer than the ones that have been produced and sent to limbo for months and it would have the mid-year improvements.

I am so sorry for you and all of us. You said it right, CRUSHING! The new 22 year will be out, ours better be shipped first! our truck will surly have a lot of rust on the under-carriage. The US needs to be self-reliant and not depend on foreign countries so much. Wake up call!

So ... these very expensive vehicles will have been sitting outdoors, idle, exposed to the weather, for more than half a year? With paint, plastic, and rubber exposed to UV rays and oxidizing, with leather fading, with bird droppings etching the clearcoat, and who knows how much of the undercarriage rusting and pitting away unimpeded?

Then what? Deliver them to frustrated and angry customers just as the winter is ramping up as if they were ‘new’? Really? That’s the plan?

Its beyond outrageous.

Ford is deliberately abusing their most loyal, patient, and enthusiastic customers. Not a good business model.

Agree.... Happy for the OP, but now I'm also in the boat of a 10-31 date. I'm at a loss. This long time Ford owner may need to go somewhere else.

Perfectly said! I have been thinking about the same thing. The new car smell will almost be gone if at all. Ford sent me a Cash Rewards for $3000. It expires July 6th. That was not an issue until now. My date now is 10/31. This is kicking the customer when they are down already. I called and Ford marketing in Dearborn said for my dealer has to call their rep to try to get an extension. My dealer wont do that. So know I lost $3000 and my truck is being destroyed by the elements. Augh!!!

There's no way Ford is going to compound the problem by not extending the personal cash offers THEY mailed out. Hey Ford, if you're listening, maybe triple any existing offer as a peace offering???

Mine went from 05/24/21 to 10/31/21. Think I’m gonna go find one on a lot and ditch the build. Pointless at this point.

Yea the price increase worries me also. I’m going to go talk/look at the dealer I ordered from tomorrow just to see. But I have a feeling they aren’t going to budge on the price now. My sales guy said people are putting deposits down on trucks before they even hit the lot and are selling at MSRP price. I’m definitely not paying MSRP.

Yes mine did. 3/19 blend date site show went into production 3/21/21. No change since then.
eta has changed about 5 times. About 3 weeks ago I got a message at the top of the page
said truck would arrive at dealer in 10 days then 12 days and on. The that disappeared. Now says
in production eta is 10/31/21 . Order was confirmed 2/3/21

Same here. I got a good deal that they must respect. I got everything in writing via email. I found an F150 in my state and they wanted almost 80,000 for a Base Lariat. We are stuck having to wait. Our trucks probably won’t even smell new. Going to be musty and rust underneath.

10/31 is a placeholder date. If there are 27,000 vehicles awaiting chips… that doesn’t seem terrible.
