I definitely don’t blame you. Probably like a lot of others I’m getting close to that point myself. Glad you were able to find something, but worried it was such a process to do it if I actually decide to cancel my order.I ended up giving up I and went to massive amounts of trouble to find pretty much any high-spec truck from Ford or Ram in stock anywhere. Was planning a flight to Texas to pick up a Kings Ranch Power Boost but the last minute they said there would be a market adjustment charge added to MSRP for the truck. Passed on that and tried to find a Limited 1500 in the area and found two, the first one was actually a dealer truck when I showed up with 6600 miles and they wanted 2k over MSRP telling me it is supply vs demand. Was lucky enough to find one Limited with pretty much every option sitting in a smaller dealer and as I had looked at trucks there before, they did not charge the market adjustment price to me so I actually got an okay deal on choice number two for me for a new truck.
I will just get a Power Boost on the next purchase when all of this nonsense has gone back to normal.
Good luck.
My dealer has promised me that they would still honor the original price for my new truck with the trade in of my current 14’ F150. So, for now, I’m still adding miles to my old truck. I probably should go ahead and get the oil changed...I’ve already reset it to 40% once and it’s getting down there again...Those of us that got good deals on our orders are basically stuck waiting. Besides, I don't think it's worth a $2-5000+ price difference to get a truck off the lot right now instead of just waiting 2 months extra for the truck you specifically ordered. But I'm in a position where I don't absolutely need a truck right at this second
I choose the same dealer. I was at the dealership the week you got your truck, and it was the only one delivered at that time. Osama said he was surprised to see it come in. Did you ever ask them for the vehicle history report on your truck?
It looks like your truck went from In production/produced to In Transit. Wild.
We're here to install the chips...So not only do we get hosed over on build date and delivery date, but our trucks are going to be pieced together by someone who is not Ford?!? What could go wrong.....
"Jesus Christ boy's, there's a shit ton of chips to put in here."We're here to install the chips...

Based on the orders that I'm seeing delivered to my dealer this would appear to be true. Lots of trucks with blend and build dates in May have been delivered last week and are set to be delivered this week. Meanwhile lots of trucks with blend dates in April and earlier seem stuck in production (including mine which had a blend/build date of April 30).4/26 gang, I found out from a Ford employee that DTP will only be shutdown for 1 week of maintenance starting on May 24th rather than the two weeks others have read about in articles. Additionally, he stated that a third party has been contracted to finish the cars that are waiting on chips. Ford hasn't approved OT for the union workers to work on those trucks. Lastly, he also said that he could confirm that all trucks built in the last two weeks have been shipped out. I got this from a Ford Employee in the Blue Oval Forum.
My salesperson is Troy who is the sales manager for online customers. I had a slight issue with one sales guy there, and asked for another person. That's how I ended up with the sales manager as my salesperson. My build date was April 28th. My experience with Greenway started off shaky, and it appears they only have ONE guy that can pull visibility reports and he's been on vacation all of last week. My ETA is supposed to be the 19th (this Wednesday), so I'll be reaching out again for an update on Thursday. That’s pretty amazing!
When I ordered in October, Osama told me I was the second person who ordered a 2021 F-150 through them. I saw they got a small (5-7) stock order batch of F-150s around December while I was still waiting.
It didn't occur to me for the vehicle history report, but I wish I did. Osama was great, but I didn’t get a whole lot of info from him as far as the truck’s build information through the process (not really his fault). That left me buy and large to get my info from this forum, an the gentlemanly Pioneer74 over of the other F150 forum to keep up to speed with things.
I, too, was very surprised how quick things moved after it was built. The truck was completed and marked as built 3/12 and was at the dealer by 3/24. Expected ETA on the trackers varied from 4/10-4/13.
Who ended up being your salesperson? Did you have a good overall experience? What’s your build?
Sorry for the barrage of questions. Just a small world I guess, and it’s cool we both used the same dealer!
That's either:it appears they only have ONE guy that can pull visibility reports and he's been on vacation all of last week.
That's a little bit of a over-reaction. My guess is that there are other people at the dealership that have the ability to pull reports, but there is one person that is tasked with that specific thing. That's either:
1. BS
2. Bad policy by the dealership.
"oh no, david got hit by a truck while on vacation.. guess we can't pull reports ever again.." -- think about it.
Either way, it would make me look at going to another dealer for my next truck.
What about trucks that were build on april 27th, have they been shipped ?4/26 gang, I found out from a Ford employee that DTP will only be shutdown for 1 week of maintenance starting on May 24th rather than the two weeks others have read about in articles. It seems like the trucks that were built after our week are the ones that got through the process and shipped. Lucky usWhat about trucks that were build on april 27th, have they been shipped ?
