So this morning, like any other morning, i remote started the truck. Got in, push the start button and begin coming to work. decided to stop for a quite bite and noticed, my drivers side door switches werent lit up and not working. I couldnt put down any of the windows. Weirdly enough, the memory function buttons and lock/unlock buttons were lit up and so was the ambient lighting. i will admit, no idea if the lock/unlock buttons work bc it was 5am and i was stuck in the drive thru with no working windows on a 4500mile old truck haha

has this happened to anyone before? i did park, go in to grab a biscuit, started the truck and still nothing.

Hi there. This driver-side window concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your F-150. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

Wow....Ford bot is fast on the trigger today!

Check the fuse boxes and make sure all fuses are pushed down/seeded/secured correctly. I found a few that were not secured after reading that was a potential problem with F150s. Otherwise, it should be under warranty, so setup an appt and get it looked at. Good luck and let us know what they found.

There have been some reported issues with the master switch on the driver's side door. Mine included most people have rolled down a window and then it gets stuck in that position because the switch shorts and is constantly trying to roll down the window in question. I think most people reported having the rear passenger window get stuck in the down position. Considering that the back lighting is out i would say probably a blown fuse or maybe even wiring harness has come loose on the back of the switch block but it very well could be another symptom of a faulty master switch. Hope you get it figured out soon!

I had the same issue yesterday morning and pushed the left mirror button and everything started working again. It has worked well since then.

If I recall correctly, there are three relays/fuses for the windows. One for the rear, one for the front, and am additional one for the driver. Have a look at the simple stuff first. I'm not confident a lot of dealerships have good troubleshooting happening in their shops anymore.

So I got in the truck this afternoon and everything seems to be working just fine. I don’t like that it happened maybe I’ll check the fuse box anyway

I had this eclxact thing happen yesterday (almost). Master switch wouldn't do anything for driver and passenger front wimdows, but both rears worked, and the passenger switch worked for that window. Hit the left mirrow button just to see what else worked/didnt, and after that the master switch resumed normal function and worked fine the rest of the day.

Update for today:

I Checked all of the under hood fuses on 12.15.22 and every fuse and relay was not seated in the fuse/relay slots. I pushed them all the way in and have not had the door switched act up since then. I hope that fixed the problem, time will tell.
If I have any more issues I will post them here.

Is anyone else still having the problem with door switches?

I had the exact same problem with my 23 this morning. Remote start got to a drive through and windows would work. Tried turning the truck off and back on still nothing. Seems to be somehow tied to a remote start. Found another forum with the same issues with lots of people.

Twice in the last month this EXACT thing has happened to me. The 1st time, I went up to the dealer and the SALESMAN did something while I was not looking and fixed it. He said it was "hold the window button up for a few seconds, then down for a few seconds". I tried that last week, and it did not solve the issue. After the truck sat for a few days at the airport, I started it up, and voila, it worked.

Oddly enough, mine has happened BOTH times when I remote started it with the key FOB.

FORD HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE DRIVER-SIDE WINDOW SWITCH FOR THE FRONT 2 WINDOWS. PLEASE COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN IF YOU ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE.

I forgot I’ve never updated this thread.
So it happened again last week. So, like you guys have mentioned, it seems to happen when I remote start as well which I do most mornings.

here is the solution that has worked for me though I can’t be 100% at the moment bc I’m not looking at the switches. You don’t have to restart the vehicle. You other hit the left arrow or one of the mirror buttons and it all comes back

What exact vehicle do you have? Maybe we can pinpoint it to a specific style.

Mine is an XLT SuperCrew with the bench/cuddle seat. V8 engine.
