I have the same type order. Still awaiting shipment status. No chip hold. Same ETA as you guys. Hopefully they’re just delayed in updating my status…. I’m also going to Granger.

So I haven’t heard from Ford since 11/5 when they said my truck should be at Granger by 11/13-11/19. Still pending shipment

Just curious, does Granger send out VVR reports or are y'all asking for them? My dealer is helpful enough but hasn't sent a VVR at all. Just signed me up for VINView and I get something from that every few days.

Asking for me… I have reached out and got updates via email. Then sometimes the VRR is pasted in the email as well. Both times from Granger.

Dealer advised me today that it's still a waiting game. They aren't even sure what "built" means at this point because some vehicles are "built" but awaiting some trim parts of small items before they can actually ship. They don't get this information so they can't pass it along to us. Still a LOT of vehicles sitting in a parking lot at the speedway so it's going to be a long waiting game I think.

I dug into this issue for my "Hold" status and it seems there is an "OKTB" agreement that Ford has with reps and those dealerships and Ford holds new MY 23 vehicles at plant and releases them slowly possibly regionally closest to Dearborn and/or KC outward. This is beyond any chip or parts hold, qc hold, transport delays/shortages. Right now in my dealers region they have 3 MY 23 vehicles delivered out of 90 or so shipped to that region. I have no idea what exactly this OKTB means or how solid this is but the OKTB inner truth exists that we are not suppose to know nor the dealers to any extent. Take it for what it's worth. But this had actually been told by a regional rep to a customer that works at a dealership.

They probably don’t want too many 23’s getting out while so many people are still waiting for 22’s

Q3 was not great for Ford and they’ve committed a big Q4. I struggle to see them not shipping for revenue if they have vehicles to ship. Especially with rail strikes (edit: rail strike possibilities), they should be shipping as many as possible to hit their Q4 revenue commitment.

Quick google:

OKTB = ok to buy ... basically car is released and sellable? With folks picking up MY23, OKTB has hit. I read they do have qty goals for OKTB timeframes ... maybe they want to spread out delivs?

I don't know... that or simply don't produce 23MY yet. I know they changed my ETA six times and there is nothing needed still for my truck. It just sits and sits in a railyard. They just moved my ETA out 3-4 weeks to end of December. No explanation why it sits. Whether it's this OKTB or transport issues... I am good as long as they give me a reason... which they don't. So I wonder... as I said I am barking up my own tree as we all are encountering some delay or issue... just good to compare and brainstorm while we wait. I suspect if they want to ship asap they would follow up better on current delays.

I think it's spread around deliveries that makes more sense. It's some kind of release sequence.

I think I would also agree that Ford would be pumping out as many trucks as possible considering their q3 disappointments.

That said, I could also see some level of coordination in getting out as many MY22 out as possible before the market is flooded with MY23 trucks.

Was Q3 that bad? Any reason why?
