Not one of us is denying that there are part shortages. The issue we have that no one ever addresses is the fact that instead of putting the parts into our trucks, they are choosing to finish trucks with later build dates. I think everyone here would agree that if they were doing this the fair and right way, we wouldn't be nearly as upset. These emails back saying "we are doing everything we can" are garbage. All you have to do is finish our trucks next instead of moving on.

Transparency is not in Ford's vocabulary. Ford is the definition of opaque. Long delivery times are the norm now. Ultimately we only care about delivery time. Given this new norm the manufacturers should have in place a system that shows the vehicles progress in much more accurate detail. We'll never see this though.

They say its built. I've had several shipping estimate dates without any movement. Asbuilt only shows 947 modules.

"Members of a labor union representing 4,900 rail workers narrowly voted to accept the latest tentative agreement aimed at averting a strike that two months ago threatened to potentially shut down the nation’s freight rail system.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District 19 approved a proposal that features a cap on health care costs, sleeping rooms for roadway mechanics who travel, travel expense reimbursements and a wage increase in addition to overtime pay consideration. The union represents locomotive machinists, roadway mechanics and facility maintenance personnel at the National Carriers’ Conference Committee (NCCC) and 52% of the 59% of members who voted approved the proposal, the IAM said in a news release.

IAM is now the seventh of 12 unions to agree to terms of the NCCC’s latest proposals, having rejected an earlier offer in mid-September. The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen — which represents more than 6,000 rail workers — and the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way Employees with 11,000 members in the rail industry both rejected the latest NCCC contract offer last month. The unions represent a total of 115,000 workers at the nation’s largest freight rail carriers and a work stoppage could affect nearly 30% of all U.S. rail cargo shipments.

Tentative agreements in September temporarily averted a strike as the White House intervened in the negotiations.

More than 300 local, state and federal trade associations sent a letter urging the Biden administration to continue its involvement in the negotiations between railroad operators and rail unions. The goal is to avoid a potential strike that could begin later this month if the remaining unions continue to reject the latest NCCC contract offers."

Ford CS is saying microchip hold with no eta. Dealer is saying next week delivery and awaiting shipment. Ford Performance just said it’s “sent offsite” and last week of November ship eta.

I didn’t get a bed cover or liner so I’m not seeing “sent offsite” as a good thing unless it’s to the railyard. But that’s usually “released” I thought.
