Dealer replaced APIM cannot get it to function correctly. No reverse camera, no front camera, no gps Sirius app on radio cannot acess vehicle settings screen. The dealer told me to take the truck home and that when Ford techs come up with a resolution they will have me come back in but until then there’s no fix. So I took the truck with my options not working this is ridiculous since there is no estimate and how long it’ll take to get this resolved . It’s unacceptable that I have an indefinite wait to resolve this problem .Attached is a copy of what The dealer and tech department

I just picked up my truck after they “fixed” my apim. It’s worse, not fixed at all. My gps doesn’t work, neither does the back up cam. The screen barely functions when you touch it. I’m extremely disappointed. Let’s figure this shit out @Ford Motor Company

I can't help but think the chip and module manufacturers have relaxed their QC in order to move as many units as possible to keep Ford and other manufacturers as happy as possible.

It's not the chip issue, but Ford quality control. I had something similar with my former Aviator black label. The infotainment screen would just flash and then cut out. No camera, not back up view, no hill descent control.

Problem "fixed" after a shut off and restart.

I’ve never had a problem this bad. It started as the screen would go black, now nothing works. Even the old “power cycle” isn’t don’t anything to fix the issues. It just doesn’t work. Kinda sad for a $65k truck

Tell me about it, lol. Has Ford mentioned anything about a software update to hopefully resolve the issue?

That’s too bad! I’ve been having troubles with my backup camera since October 21. Dealer has tried reprogramming module, checking connections and replaced camera. Still only working 10% of the time and glitchy. They ordered a new APIM module 2 months ago still no idea when it’s coming in….

I waited almost 3 months for the first module. Didn’t fix it, actually made it worse. The dealer isn’t able to program it.

I got a call today from the dealer saying that they have to order a new connection device because the 2021 need different ones, so hopefully that fixes it.

We will see. I’ve also chatted with ford corporate so hopefully that makes things move along.

So I just picked up my truck. There is a new cord out to program the APIM and I’m sure other things for the ‘21 and newer vehicles. It actually worked. The blackout has been fixed, everything else is as it should be as well. If you are having similar issues I’d recommend talking to your dealer about ordering this new programming cord. My dealer had no clue until I started a case with ford corporate.
