Hey all,

I just received an email from the Early Access Program to get ready for BlueCruise 1.3. Didn't say much, other than the usual, but it is slightly exciting that we may be receiving the new BlueCruise. I've copied the mail below:

Hello,

We hope this email finds you well. We are pleased to announce that BlueCruise will be undergoing updates that will significantly improve the hands-free highway driving experience, particularly in navigating narrow lanes and curves. In preparation for Over the Air updates, we have a few reminders we'd like to share.

First things first! Get an automatic schedule set for your OTA updates. We suggest this so you are prepared for all exciting updates!

To set a schedule for your OTA updates, please follow these simple steps:

1. Turn ON Automatic Software Updates – this keeps updates coming as they roll out

2. Set a recurring schedule – choose a time that is most convenient for you, so you never miss a non-drivable Software Update

Additional tips / things to keep in mind:

  • Connect to Wi-Fi for improved installation speed.
  • Don’t skip updates – this will impact future updates.
  • If an update requires your vehicle to be parked, you’ll be notified through the FordPass® App ahead of time.
  • Not all updates roll out at the exact same time.
  • After an update, you’ll receive a notification in FordPass detailing what’s new.
  • Visit Ford.com/support for more information.

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty.

Best regards, Ford Early Access Program

Stupid question, this is for an ICE F150 correct?

I'll believe when I see it hit FDRS, but this does give me hope!

Looks like it's just bug fixes to me not BC 1.3 but all we can do is wait and see. I look forward to whatever advancement comes to my non-BC adaptive cruise. It does tend to not like narrow roads in road construction.

I don't think anyone outside of MachE and LIghtnings have. Maybe they are going to jump us right from 1.1 to 1.3. Or maybe they included ICE F150s by accident and this is all for naught.

Yes. 1.2 was passed because 1.3 was done sooner than expected

There's no technological reason to withhold it from a 2021 F150 with Bluecruise.
I'm an eternal optimist, admittedly, but Ford is PUSHING software and technology to their brand. Good & Bad. I don't think they intend to declare a vehicle unworthy that is potentially a continuous revenue source.
