Hey all,
I just received an email from the Early Access Program to get ready for BlueCruise 1.3. Didn't say much, other than the usual, but it is slightly exciting that we may be receiving the new BlueCruise. I've copied the mail below:
Hello,
We hope this email finds you well. We are pleased to announce that BlueCruise will be undergoing updates that will significantly improve the hands-free highway driving experience, particularly in navigating narrow lanes and curves. In preparation for Over the Air updates, we have a few reminders we'd like to share.
First things first! Get an automatic schedule set for your OTA updates. We suggest this so you are prepared for all exciting updates!
To set a schedule for your OTA updates, please follow these simple steps:
1. Turn ON Automatic Software Updates – this keeps updates coming as they roll out
2. Set a recurring schedule – choose a time that is most convenient for you, so you never miss a non-drivable Software Update

- Connect to Wi-Fi for improved installation speed.
- Don’t skip updates – this will impact future updates.
- If an update requires your vehicle to be parked, you’ll be notified through the FordPass® App ahead of time.
- Not all updates roll out at the exact same time.
- After an update, you’ll receive a notification in FordPass detailing what’s new.
